DESCRIPTION: Challenging behavior at home and in the classroom can be very stressful on
everyone! Join us to learn effective tips and tricks for managing challenging behavior in children with
special needs.

PRESENTED BY: Nadine Maher
Nadine Maher is a NYS certified General/Special Education teacher and Board Certified
Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience working with young children and their
families. She received her Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education with a
specialization in teaching children with autism and Intellectual Disabilities from Teachers
College, Columbia University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through
Pennsylvania State University.
As a Parent/Behavior Coach at PALS, Nadine provides consultation and support to children and families
during the evaluation process. She is the lead Parent Coach and works with families facing challenging
behaviors in their home and community by offering support and coaching to family members on behavior
management strategies. In addition to her work at PALS, Nadine provides consultation in various school
settings where she supports teachers in the design and implementation of effective strategies to prevent
behavioral challenges and address developmental concerns.
