This presentation will focus on the different diagnostic evaluations available to diagnose ASD. Dr. Gorenstein will discuss what parents should look for when seeking an independent evaluation for his or her child and provide an overview of what types of evaluations are needed to access services.

PRESENTED BY: DR. MICHELLE GORENSTEIN Dr. Michelle Gorenstein is a Clinical Psychologist and Director of Outreach of the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment at Mount Sinai. She earned her Doctoral (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School. Funding for her programs is received from UJA (United Jewish Appeal) Federation of New York to help disseminate more effective social skills programs to community centers across the tristate area. Additional areas of interest include treating comorbid anxiety and depression in individuals with ASD and creating more inclusive community programs for neurodiverse individuals.
