Don’t cut care management funding for New Yorkers with developmental disabilities.
In the Governor’s Fiscal Year 2021 – 2022 proposed Executive Budget (effective July 1, 2021) submitted by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), there is a proposed funding cut for the seven Care Coordination Organizations/Health Homes (CCOs/HHs) that were created to support members with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 2018. The proposed cut could potentially significantly reduce the quality of life of the 110,000 members collectively supported by the seven CCOs/HHs including 25,000 members that receive support from ACA/NY.
