Funding Opportunities

Option 1: Accessible Transportation Mini Grants

Application Process: Apply between December 1, 2023 and January 15, 2024. Proposal due by January 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

Proposals should focus on one of the following areas:

  • Accessibility
  • Education & Advocacy
  • Coalition Building

Who does this help?
The New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) has a grant opportunity for localities throughout NYS to implement innovative transportation projects that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for community access.

Who can apply?
Eligible organizations include providers that support people with developmental disabilities.

Tier 1 applicants can apply for up to $10,000 and Tier 2 applicants can apply for up to $50,000 to put towards improving transportation for individuals with IDD.

Please note: There is a 34% minimum match requirement for these grants. All applicants must register as a vendor in the NYS Statewide Financial System.

Option 2: DASNY Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program (NICIP)

Application Process: Apply between December 15, 2023 and February 15, 2024 at 5:00p.m. to NICIP@dasny.org

Who does this help?
Non-profit human services organizations can receive Capital Grant Funding to support large and small-scale construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $500,000.

Who is eligible?
This funding opportunity is for non-profits that support New Yorkers with developmental disabilities.
