COMMUNITY NETWORKING EVENTS BY ACANY
For OPWDD HCBS Waiver, Community-Based Organizations, Health Care Providers, and FSS Providers, hosted by ACANY
Building connections that strengthen support for people with IDD and their families.
Since 2022, Provider Relations has hosted regional networking events to reconnect Care Managers with IDD providers after COVID-era virtual-only interactions. These events ensured ACANY Care Managers were familiar with regional IDD Provider Organizations and gave providers a platform to showcase programs and service opportunities.
How the Events Grew
- 2023: We began inviting members and families and added panel presentations.
- 2025 Impact (statewide):
- 1,098 Care Managers
- 392 Provider Organizations
- 146 Members/Families
We also encouraged legislators and other government leaders to attend. Positive feedback across all audiences is guiding new ways to deepen connections and support for individuals with IDD and their families.
What’s New in 2026
We’re transitioning to regional Community Networking Events. In addition to IDD service providers, we will invite community-based organizations and health care providers to table and share information. We will continue to welcome:
- People with disabilities and their families
- Local and State government representatives
- ACANY Care Management teams
Where and When
Events are scheduled throughout our regions. This is continuously being updated and will be posted on our website as details are finalized. The best way to stay informed is to join our email list in the right hand column of this page for our regular e-news of updates.
We look forward to your participation in ACANY CCO’s Community Networking Events in 2026!

“This was the most amazing and productive networking event. My meetings with Care Managers and supervisors were extremely fruitful, and I must say that the level of care, knowledge, and involvement I witnessed was phenomenal.”
