November Forum: Post-School Planning for Young Adults Accessing Services Through OPWDD
Two online sessions:
Tuesday, November 18, from 12-1:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 20, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Join us to gather information on available employment and training program options and support services. This workshop is suitable for families of young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, preparing for the transition to post-school life or who have recently exited school. Additional NY State and other regional postsecondary options that families can explore will be provided. Considerations will also be shared for those families who may be visiting or selecting adult community-based day programs. Additionally, tips on utilizing OPWDD’s Self-Direction services will be offered. Time will be provided for participants to ask questions.

December Member and Family Forum: Beyond the Physical
Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6-7 p.m.
Join us for Beyond the Physical, an empowering online forum focused on preventative healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Led by Carrie Loubier, RN, CCM, Director of Nursing, this session explores how routine care can be adapted to meet unique needs and promote long-term wellness.
